teaching
Course materials, schedules, and resources for classes taught.
I taught classes at undergraduate to doctoral student levels at the Graduate Training Centre of Neuroscience and the Cognitive Science Centre at Tübingen University. I supervised or co-supervised researchers from undergradute to postdoctoral levels.
2023 – present
Mapping Vision and Cognition in the Human Brain
This course covers the physical and neurovascular basis of the MRI signal and its statistical analysis. The class will discuss both classical fMRI papers and recent advances and how they relate to our understanding of vision and cognition.
2021 – present
Experimental Cognitive Science
Students are introduced to cognitive science as an experimental discipline. They learn the basic concepts of experimental work, read background literature, develop research ideas and discuss experimental designs. They carry out their own experiment and write up a graded report at the end.
2020
Neural correlates of consciousness
The class was a three-day seminar on visual consciousness and the different methods used to isolate its neural substrate. Colour vision serves as an ideal model system to study the subjective experience of the stimulus environment.
2015 – 2023
Methodological Frontiers in the Cognitive Neurosciences
This course covers the work and methods used by various cognitive neuroscience groups in Tübingen. I presented multivariate analysis tools including pattern classification (SVM, LDA) and representational similarity analysis.
